Speci cations: [1] leaf, postcard. 10X15 cm. On the back of the postcard, there is information about the sender and the addressee, which was added after a long time.
Unique Features: Postcard from 1930 from the summer home in Medrezhin, where Rabbi Menachem travelled “ To relax a bit from the many burdens,״ in the letter he apologized for the lateness of his reply, “ e following letters were not given to us from all places.״ In the margins of the letter, there is a short note of Torah as a response to the writer.
Background: e great gaon Rabbi Menachem Ziemba
[1883-1943] scholar whose sharp genius, expertise, depth and chassidut joined as one. One of a kind among the chassidic gaons of Poland. Born in the Warsaw suburb Prage, and in his youth known as the prodigy of Prage. He married the daughter of a wealthy man from Warsaw who supported him. He refused to wear the crown of the rabbinate and later inherited the iron store from his father-in-law and managed it, but most of his time he toiled in Torah. Upon the insistent pleading of the author of the Imrei Emet, he began dealing with community matters, and was a member of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah of Agudat Yisrael, where he astounded with his wisdom and understanding. He negotiated with all the gaons in Poland, Lithuania and Galicia, and provided halachic responsa. With the Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939, he su ered under their cruel hands and ran from one hiding place to another. As a faithful shepherd, he concerned himself with the survivors of the Warsaw ghetto until he found his death during the well-known uprising and was martyred during Pesach of 1943. His letters were published as Totzaot Chaim, Zera Avraham, Otzar HaSifri V׳HaSifra, Chiddushei HaGRMZ and more.

מפרט: [1] דף, גלוית נייר. 10X15 ס״מ. בגב הגלויה נכתב, לאחר זמן רב, מידע על השולח ועל הנמען.
מאפיינים יחודיים: גלוית דואר משנת תר״צ [1930] ממעון הקיץ במעדרזשין, לשם נסע הגר״מ “להנפש מעט מהמון עול הטרדות המרובות״, במכתבו מתנצל על אחור תשובתו כי “לא נמסרו לידינו המכתבים הבאים מכל קצות״. בשולי המכתב הערה קצרה בדברי תורה
כמענה על דברי הכותב.
רקע: הגאון האדיר רבי מנחם זמבא [תרמ״ג-תש״ג, 1883-1943], איש האשכולות שגאונות חריפות, בקיאות, עמקות גדולה וחסידות התאחדו על שלחנו. היה יחיד ומיוחד מבין גאוני חסידי פולין. הוא נולד בפרבר פראגא שליד ווארשא ובצעירותו נודע כעילוי מפראגא. נשא לאשה בת גביר מווארשא שהחזיקו על שלחנו. הוא סירב להתעטר בכתר הרבנות ולימים ירש את בית מסחר הברזל של חותנו וניהל אותו, אך רוב שעותיו יגע בתורה. להפצרת האדמו״ר בעל ‘אמרי אמת׳ החל לעסוק בעניינים ציבוריים, והיה חבר מועצת גדולי התורה של אגודת ישראל, שם הפליא בחכמתו ותבונתו, הוא נשא ונתן עם כל גאוני פולין ליטא וגאליציה, והשיב תשובות בהלכה. עם פלישת הנאצים לפולין בשנת ת״ש סבל מידם הארורה וברח ממסתור אחד למשנהו. כרועה נאמן דאג רבות לשרידי הגיטו בווארשא עד שמצא את מותו בימי המרד הנודע, ונהרג על קדוש ה׳ בחג הפסח תש״ג. מכתביו נדפסו הספרים תוצאות חיים, זרע אברהם,
