305 Letter from the Admor of Kołaczyce
and Rabbi of Rzeszow Rabbi Chuna

Letter written and signed in the handwriting of the Admor Chuna Halberstam.
Speci cations: [1] leaf, paper. Letter with [7] lines, additional signature line.
Unique features: Before his signature, the Admor writes that he is deep in debt and asks that the letter be shared with his relatives and people who knew him when he was younger, and perhaps additional people. He signed his name “Chuna Halberstam son of ... the rabbi of Fristik shlit״a,״ indicating that the letter was written prior to 1927, because his father Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Frysztak passed away in 1927.
Background: Admor Chuna ben Menachem Mendel Halberstam was the Admor of Kołaczyce [Kalashitz]. In 1923 he was appointed rabbi of Rzeszow [Reisha], where, with the cooper- ation of the local youth, he established the Zera Kodesh yeshiva. He was murdered in the Holocaust together with his entire family. His works Bein HaShemashos, Torat Mikvah and booklets that were originally published anonymously, were reprinted after the war under the title Divrei Chuna.

מפרט: [1] דף, נייר. מכתב בן [7] שורות, עם שורה נוספת של חתימה.
מאפיינים יחודיים: קודם חתימתו כותב האדמו״ר על היותו בעל חוב גדול ומבקש להראות את המכתב לכמה מקרוביו ומכריו מנעוריו, ואולי גם לאנשים נוספים. מחתימתו “חנה הלברשטאם בן לא״א מו״ר הה״צ מפריסטיק שליט״א״, ניתן להסיק שהמכתב נכתב לפני 1927, לפי שאביו
רבי נח מנדל מפריסטיק נפטר בשנת תרפ״ו.
רקע: האדמו״ר רבי חנה בן מנחם מנדל הלברשטם [1880-1942 בערך], היה האדמו״ר מקולושיץ, בשנת 1923 נבחר לרבה של רישא, וייסד בהשתתפות בני נוער ישיבה בשם “זרע קודש״. נספה בשואה עם כל משפחתו. חיבוריו ‘בין השמשות׳ ו׳תורת מקוה׳, וקונטרסיו שיצאו בעילום
שם, הודפסו אחרי תום המלחמה בשם “דברי חנה״. מצב: טוב מאוד.
