Department of Fire Services. One grant for $4,237.00 will be used to purchase supplies needed to
               teach elementary school-aged children about fire safety/prevention.

               A second grant for  $2,716.00 will be used to  educate the senior population on preventative
               programs such as slip and fall, fire danger and also carbon monoxide awareness. The Boxford
               Fire Department will also work closely with the Council on Aging on making sure that our elders
               are all compliant with the codes on smoke/CO detectors in their homes.

               We received a $2,000.00 matching grant from the Department of Conservation and Recreation to
               purchase equipment to outfit our Brush 1 with wild land firefighting equipment.

               Finally, Lt. Soltys was accepted to attend an all-expense paid conference in Orlando Florida from
               the National Fire Protection Agency.  This grant was awarded in conjunction with the Council on
               Aging and also the VNA for one member of each group to attend a two day seminar on Fire and
               Fall prevention with in our elder population. The learning objectives of this program have been
               brought back to Boxford to be implemented into our ongoing programs of working with the
               town’s elderly population.


               BOXFORD FIRE FIGHTERS GIFT FUND
               The Boxford Fire Fighters Gift Fund was the recipient of many memorial gifts in 2015.   These
               funds, along with other generous  gifts donated throughout the  year,  allow us to purchase
               lifesaving medical and firefighting  equipment not usually covered in our annual budget.
               Donations to the Boxford Fire fighters Gift Fund are always welcome and appreciated, as the
               ultimate beneficiaries are the residents of Boxford.


               BOXFORD FIRE FIGHTER’S RELIEF ASSOCIATION
               The Boxford  Firefighter's Relief  Association is  a  group of  volunteers who provide continued
               support to the firefighters during illness, injury or other family crises. We have applied for
               501(c)3 Federal tax exempt status (pending). This will allow tax deductible contributions and
               foster more effective fundraising.

               In addition to supporting our members, the Association sponsors the Boy Scout Troop 51,
               The Fire Explore Post 911, Matthew Smith Scholarship and other activities throughout the year.
               Membership is open to any individual who is 18  years or older.  If interested call the fire
               department for more information.






               EXPLORING: THE YOUNG ADULT DIVISION OF THE BOY SCOUTS
               The Boxford Fire Explorer Post #911 is a group of young adults interested in learning both EMS
               and Firefighting skills. Did you know that six current members are past members of the explorer
