Chairmans Welcome..

A huge Brook welcome to you all, I have to say I’ve been looking
forward to this event from the moment our inaugural U7’s festival
ended this time last year. It was right up there with one of the best
days I’ve experienced down here at Blackbrook.

It became the Executive’s Committee number one priority to build
on the success of 2018 and look at ways we could make the 2019
experience even better. This year we have combined our new U7’s
with our U8’s to double up on the experience we can offer all our
Primary Rugby League players. We are delighted to have Rugby AM
‘Waggataurus’ aka Wayne Godwin here, allowing us all to showcase
everything that is great about the NWC and our Community Clubs.

Whilst its quite right to focus in on the enjoyment of our young
players, ensuring full participation, focusing on their development and
wellbeing, we must take time to thank all those that have worked
behind the scenes to get today’s event off the ground. I genuinely
believe volunteers, either as coaches, team managers, first aiders,
touchline managers, bouncy castle managers and tombola wardens
are the building blocks of successful clubs.

So, please do enjoy the day, thank you all for accepting our invitation
to the festival, Blackbrook are delighted to host you for the day.
