Last weeks match report

Last week saw the Brook boys head down the road to play our neighbours
Haydock Warriors in a Mothers Day clash.

The sun was shining, with a little cold chill for a fresh Sunday morning , ideal
conditions for a great game of rugby league.

Haydock suffered a few last minute absences but in the spirit of the game
the Brook lads were more than happy to take turns filling in for the Haydock
absentees.

The boys seemed a little tired and slow to get started after losing an hour of
sleep but the opening exchanges were fierce with solid defence from Aiden
Kay, Ethan Tucker, Freddie Hewitt and Zain Matthews but after the early
exchanges tamed the defences were examined with surging runs from Jack
Jameson, Toby Edwards and Scott Brown.

Players continued to work tirelessly running strong, tackling hard and
exchanging tries in this closely contested local derby.

Brook tries came from Dylan Mather x 2, Conal Parry x 2, Tyler Middlehurst
x 2, John Bennett x 2, Harvey Whittle, Harry Davies, Lucas Waddilove, Daniel
Roberts and Tyler Pook. With 7 of the Haydock tries also coming from brook
lads too.

All the boys worked great as a team and supported each other well giving
several offloads leading to great play. #upthebrook
