It’s a matter of pride and gratification for the Doha Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of
India on this momentous occasion of it’s 6th International Conference at Hilton Doha-Qatar on 14th &
15th November 2019. As Vice Chairperson of this first overseas chapter of ICAI, I would like to thank each
member of this chapter and in particular our vibrant executive team, experienced past chairperson’s and
passionate team of enthusiastic volunteers for organizing this fabulous, one of its kind conference.

I firmly believe that “You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of
the shore”. Keeping this ethos in mind, after numerous rounds of brain storming session we came to a
conclusion that what else can be a better theme than “Excellence Through Innovation”.
Our profession is going through a sea-change, and coupled with disruption brought in by digitalization, is
pushing us to find new ways to prove our competitiveness and effectiveness. The days of business as usual
have gone long back and time has come to embrace the change & excel through innovation. We have to
adopt analytics driven proactive problem resolution preventive techniques and be a partner in decision
making. I am sure that 6th International Conference hosted by DCICAI, will definitely help us polish our
innovative & management skills.
