LOCKOUT AT THE BTRC
During the height of the pandemic in April 2019, the entire BTRC experienced an unprecendented “lockout”, where physical access to the research laboratories was greatly restricted. Six months later, we surveyed the Principal Investigators of the BTRC to better understand how the lockout affected their research, their responses are summarized here.

Data analysis, background reading, and assembly of figures - even if there isn’t a paper yet. Zoom meetings in many formats.
We met weekly, and I was sending papers for my trainees to read.
Increased frequency of lab meetings and smaller group meetings, online tutorials.
