This year, Dr. Gelareh Zadeh became the new Chief of Neurosurgery at the University of Toronto, the first female neurosurgeon to achieve this prestigious position in Canada.

The Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO) appointed Dr. Gelareh Zadeh as their new President.
SNO is a global multidisciplinary organization dedicated to promoting advances in neuro- oncology through research and education.
Cynthia Hawkins appointed as the Garron Family Chair in Childhood Cancer Research
In April 2020, Dr. Cynthia Hawkins was appointed as the Garron Family Chair in Childhood Cancer Research.
Dr. Hawkins also received the Lucien J. Rubinstein Award from the American Association of Neuropathologists.
