ring out several times. I know Jenny was always flirting with him I was sure it was nothing, but I was too tired to think any more about it. I went to bed.
I rose early the next morning to take the painting into the gallery they closed early today, and I didn’t want to miss them. I wasn’t much in the mood for anything else, so I drove straight back home. Getting out of the car I decided to just go for a walk then and there to clear my head. I walked for about an hour a hundred and one things running through my head, circling back I dropped into farmer Will to buy some of his fresh fruit and vegetables. I arrived just in time for lunch and he and his wife insisted I stay for a bite to eat. It was actually quite nice to just sit and listen to them talking about their day to day occurrences on the farm but after an hour I excused myself and left thanking them for their hospitality. I was feeling happier.
Back at home I showered and dressed into a one-piece trouser suit in dark green, Tony always said I looked sexy in it. I was in a peculiar mood tonight. As I lay the table the doorbell chimed.
‘My you look so sexy darling’, Rex smirked at me starting to kiss me his hands beginning to wander.
‘Dinner is ready, and I’m famished after my walk’, I said pushing him away gently.
‘I hope you haven’t worn yourself out darling’, he said with a twinkle in his eye. ‘Never too tired for you darling’, I replied feeling a little more cheerful.
After finishing his meal, he smiled saying, ‘A beautiful girlfriend and great cook what more could a guy want’.
‘You’re just buttering me up, so you can have your wicked way with me’, I handed him a glass of wine.
