‘Then Seki shouted I am your wife so please do not speak to me like I’m a child, I was so embarrassed Amber’.
‘Paul then told her she was acting like a child and causing a scene, he was afraid they’d ask us to leave. He took her arm and asked her to sit back down. Then the waiter came over and asked was everything alright. We were both so mortified he just asked for the cheque’.
‘Oh, Penny that must have been awful’, I knew how much the whole scene must have distressed her.
‘You could feel the tension in the taxi Amber, it was terrible she refused to apologies for how she behaved’.
‘When we got back here, she stormed into the house and left us standing there, Paul said how sorry he was and he would make sure she apologized to me personally in the morning and that sometimes she just finds it hard to express herself but I don’t want to be the cause of anymore stress between them so I just said she was probably feeling a little anxious at the moment’.
‘I hope there is a good explanation’, I was quite annoyed at Seki for upsetting Penny, but I stopped myself from saying anything else mean, ‘come on dry them tears Paul will handle the problem this may have happened before and that is why he told you that she finds it hard to express herself’.
I sent Penny to bed promising to lock up with Rex and told her to have a lie in.
Rex and I had a drink as I explained the recent drama we shared a quick kiss and cuddle and then I went to my room. I could tell he wasn’t pleased, he wanted me to sleep with him, but I didn’t feel comfortable, besides I liked the little cubby hole of a room that Penny designated the late shift.
