want to repeat. I do love him, I just want to wrap him up and take him home. But first he has to sort out his affairs.
As I started to enjoy the view Penny stirred from her slumber. ‘Welcome back! I teased.
‘That was all I needed, forty winks to make me feel human again, I don’t know why I’m so tired’, Penny complained.
‘Is it time for a pit stop? a sleepy voice asked.
‘At your service, sir’, I joked.
Turning off the M3, I drove for another ten minutes before spotting a little coffee shop by a parking lot.
‘Perfect’, Rex called as we pulled into the parking space.
We enjoyed a lovely lunch, then Rex offered to treat us to a coffee and big cream cake! Not sure if the cream cake was the attraction or if the busty blond behind the counter was. Volunteering, to treat us to another pot of coffee, without waiting for a response he left to join the line at the coffee dock. Ten minutes later he still hadn’t returned. I didn’t want to risk sounding jealous, so on his return I gave him a look of warning. Which he understood, we finished our coffees in silence, and left, leaving Rex to pay the tab.
Penny offered to exchanged seats with Rex saying she wanted to read. I found it hard to concentrate on the road ahead, aware that Rex was studying me, a couple of times he caught me smiling over at him. Once he reached over and patted my knee, I hoped Penny didn’t notice the chemistry between us.
Noticing the petrol dial was nearing empty, I announced that we needed to stop for a fill up.
‘Great! Penny squealed, ‘I need the bathroom’.
