We both cheered as the hotel came into view, it looked amazing.
Our rooms where so beautiful and luxurious but it was late, so we settled in for some much-needed sleep, we’d explore properly tomorrow.
We had arranged to meet in the dining hall for breakfast the next morning. I had a shower, dressed into a pair of chinos and a white t-shirt with my favourite pair of tennis shoes. I hoped Penny would be up for a nice brisk walk after breakfast I couldn’t face sitting around all day not after having spent so much time cooped up yesterday with all the travelling and besides Sherry will be coming down to the hotel later this evening who knows what she had planned for us, mostly propping up the bar probably. I hummed away merrily to myself as I went to look for Penny.
Stepping out into the brisk summer morning we walked for a couple of hours, she was every bit as enthusiastic as me to get outdoors and stretch our legs. After a couple of hours, we came upon a nice little seaside village. It was wonderfully peaceful, and we paused for a while in silence to take in the beautiful scenery as the sailing boats bobbed up and down on the edge of the shore. Feeling hungry after our lengthy walk we decided to have a light lunch followed by a little wander around the shops. We soon began to regret being so enthusiastic when we realized how far we had to walk back.
‘Slow down Amber, I’m not as young as you’, Penny was bent with two hands on her knees trying to catch her breath.
‘Sorry, I’m just eager to get back to get ready for Sherry, she’s meeting us in the bar in a few of hours’, I gasped.
