this a little bit?
Is there any special place or event you want to
play?
Well maybe at the Copperfuture festival which is in Milano. We didn´t get an invitation yet but maybe we will be there next year. This year we want to go to Tommorrowland (remark: that has already happened and was a huge success)We are very happy to be there and after Tommorrowland everything will be more bright for us. I think this will push us to a whole new level and bring more contacts and so on.
What was the best, worst or funniest experience you ever had at a gig?
I think one of the best ones was in Essen City Germany. We should play in a really big hall there and we were there as headliners. We played for about 6 hours. The people stayed there until the end. It was very crowded there, packed with people and people but no one left before end. That was really great. It was so nice for us because we hadn´t expected that from a town like Essen so that surprized us a little bit.
One of the funny ones was for sure when we played in swizerland. We played at a club there and just after 10 minutes of our gig the clubowner headed to us and told us that the neighbours were a little bit angry because the music was too hard.
Are there any goals you want to reach ?
Being in more festivals rather than in club. We like to get more experience with more people.
RAVINGIRAN RAVINGIRAN
RAVINGIRAN could not really imagine here. Can you describe
So I guess the scene has a lot of problems we
to be a film about it and so we started.
Everything we do has to be private. No one outside the scene is allowed to know about it. So most of our contacts are through cellphone and direct talking. It´s kind of guerilla marketing. You always have to be aware who to talk to. Additionally there are a lot of police checkpoints. So when we make a party somewhere in the desert, we always have to take care of. It´s always a problem. Sometimtes we have to pay that they close ttheir eyes and let us pass. It´s really not easy.
So you made a film about it. Was it difficult to make it?
Sure. We had a guy who followed us with a camera and recorded everything. It´s kind of a documetary. We decided, that we would like to show it as it is, just without any comment, just like we experienced it live. On te other hand we had to take care for not showing too much of what happened with the officials and so on. So we concentrated more on the music and of the little side stories. We wanted to show that even in Iran we have kind of normal life.
Can you tell a little bit more about the film?
The idea to the film came with the CD we made. You know, in Iran you need to get a permission for everything and when we made the CD and tried to get the permit they denied it because “Blade and Beard” is in english. We told them that that is our artist name but they still refused. So we had to relese it in a foreign country. We thought that this is so absourd that there has
