Various Artists – Summer Camp vol 1 [Moon Harbour] [Latin / Tech House]
Moon Harbour delve into the archives and re-release some of their extensive back catalogue to a fresh audience. Dennis Cruz is up first with “El Sueno”, a chugging deep house number with lashings of percussion and Latin inspired vocal cuts. Danny Serrano continues with “Karamba”, which ups the energy levels but keeps the similar Latin vibes. Finally Dario Dattis closes with “Tribe Chant”, a smooth house number, with more vocal cuts layered above solid house drums and a solid bassline. A great summery selection.

Josh Baker – PIV Limited 004 [PIV Limited] [Minimal House]
Manchester based Dj and producer Josh Baker comes to PIV Limited for their limited series of releases. 2 originals with 2 remixes on the flip make it an interesting package. First up “Linn Funk” is an upbeat piece of deep house. “Immediate one” follows a similar feel, but is less about the funk and more about the groove. On the flip Chris Stussy and Prunk take on “Immediate one” and give it a deep tech makeover, whilst “Linn Funk” is stripped down to the bare bones by Michael James. Great EP.

Toman & Chris Stussy – Whatudo EP [Meta] [Minimal Tech]
Widely respectedwithin the underground house and techno community, Chris Stussy and Toman team up for four tracks of house and tech. “Noir infusion” is a dark but jazzy tech house number, packing a punch where it needs it. “Mont blanc” goes deeper, with a throbbing sub and rolling drums combining with synth stabs and shimmering synths over the top. “Whatudo” is a bouncy tech house number, having the right amount of groove, but keeping things subdued with an infectious vocal hook. Finally “Mountain river” is a deep house number with chord stabs and again that jazz influence that plays throughout the EP. https://www.deejay.de/Chris_Stussy_%26_Toman_Whatudo_EP_META006_Vinyl__353788
Various Artists – Volume 6 [Rube Goldberg Series] [House/Techno/Electro]

With its hip hop vocal cuts and hihats that skip along, its got bags of swag. Next Philipp Boss brings us “4 Machines (Live Version)” goes full Chicago house on us. All about the 909 drums with this one. Will Do up next with “Gemini”, an understated deep house number, with its 303 bassline and smooth pads. Finally Taslo Valve & Bowyer finish things off with Mr McCool, another luscious deep house offering, with delicate arrangement and instrumentation. https://www.deejay.de/Various_Artists_Volume_Six_RGS006_Vinyl__944860
Sylvie Maziarz – Increase EP [Off Recordings] [Techno]
After quickly establishing herself in the Berlin techno scene as one of the most in demand DJs in Germany's capitol, her debut on Off Recordings is packed with attitude. Two originals and three remixes mae up this superb package. “Increase” is all about the huge kick drum and 303 lean line al la a certain Charlotte De Witte. “Reduction” incorporates more progressive elements whilst still keeping the raw energy. Par Grindvik takes on the title track, and pummels the listener with a 138 bpm master class in industrial techno. Andre Kronert take “Reduction” and strips things back, with an infectious acid line the main focus of his first remix. His second interpretation of “ Reduction” is a minimal techno roller, with its repeating vocal and pumping drums. A brilliant EP. One for the techno heads out there. https://www.deejay.de/Sylvie_Maziarz_Increase_EP_OFF210_Vinyl__945871
