Judgment Enforcement – The Step-by-Step Course
However, there are case management systems that other JRS people swear by. These
include Judgment Enforcement Management Software at
http://judgmentmanagementsystem.info/. Again, highly recommended by those in the
business and on my Forum.
My point here is that there are case management software packages available to help
you. Depending on your needs, you may want to invest in them at some point. I don’t
think you’ll need one starting out. One word of caution: Don’t immediately switch all your
cases over to the software to see how it works. It’s time consuming to have to switch them
back if you don’t like it.
What software do I use? None. Because I accept few cases, maybe 10 a year, I simply
use MS Word. I have a file folder for each JD’s name, and inside that folder I have
additional folder for each topic about that JD.
JD Marjorie Simpson
Then, inside that folder I have other folders labelled by topic:
Judgment Assignment and agreement :
Data Wage garnishment
Property lien Correspondence with JC
Etc. I have other files too, including an excel file to keep track of payments.
Simple, yep. That’s the way I like it. And again, because I take few judgments, maybe 10 a
year, depending on their amount, it works well for me.
