Judgment Enforcement – The Step-by-Step Course
Maybe Sign up for Private Investigator E-Groups: There are a number of private
investigator E-Groups that are worth joining. Most of them are on Yahoo.com E-groups.
I’ve subscribed to Tracer, PIGroup, and SpiesOnline. You’ll be able to find PI’s in your
area to assist you, or to team up with if you like. But with this course and our own Forum, I
think you’ll see that you’re as equipped as most of the good PI’s out there.
Message Tracking: This has been an important part of my email service. This service
is CHEAP. ($2 a month or so) What does it do? It tells me when my email messages have
been read, reopened, or forwarded to someone else. I find this essential when I want to
know that a creditor or attorney or someone else (such as my ex-wife) got my email. I can
even send the email in such a way that I get a certification of receipt. It’s terrific. Please
consider getting it. Just Google “email tracking” and check them out.
Step 13: Setting Up the Physical Office
I’m leaving this for almost last, but it’s certainly as important as the other steps here.
Your physical office will need to be as efficiently placed as
possible. This may be difficult when you are first starting out,
but do the best you can. If it’s a home office, it should be
conveniently placed in the most appropriate part of your home.
A separate computer and Internet access is ideal. You don’t want
your business to be competing with anyone in your home. And
you don’t want anyone erasing files or letting the computer
crash. Also, you will need to secure all your files. The
information you’ll have is very private.
Only you can know the best way to set up your physical office. You’ll be spending time
there, and you want it to be comfortable. It should be a place you like to go to. If it takes
spending a little extra money, and you can afford it, make it as good as you can.
Also, some of the databases may want to come out and inspect your office. (More on
that coming up.) If that’s the case, you’ll need a locking filing cabinet, password on
computer, key lock on the door, shredder, and so on.
