THE FUTURE OF ROBOTICS IN EVENTS
The interesting thing about the robotics is that they are only limited by how far we can stretch our imagination. The more creative ways we can come up to use them to perform different functions the more value they have.
The possibilities are endless with the right mix of knowledge and creativity. It allows complex processes and motion sequences to be presented successfully with a strong appeal to audiences.
The use of robotics in events and exhibitions has gained huge popularity across this region. It’s a growing trend, new to event agencies, event organizers and exhibitors. Popularity to the extent that Protec had to invest in more robots – the KUKA robotic arms, in particular.
Protec’s robots have not just fit into multiple forms of events with ease, they now see them practically evolve into their own personality through choreographed human interactive pieces, which adds a dynamic and creative dimension to the functionality and use at events.
For venues that have limited weight loads, they’ve invested in smaller robotic arms that weigh less yet have the same functionality as their bigger bots. This solves the problem and makes it easier to set up in venues with weight restrictions. Clients now have more options to work with.
Last year, Protec has been a part of so many great events. Their clients have enjoyed being able to use our robots to add new creative and technical dimensions with existing AV equipment for more unique and immersive experiences.
Some clients have been clever enough to ensure that the robots don’t take over the event creatives but use them to support the ideas by adding more movement and dynamics. We need to remember that whatever we have in terms of technology and equipment is there to support creative ideas at events and not overpower them.
