Mrs. Shauver’s 7th graders work with Mrs. Houghtaling ‘s 2nd graders to send positive thoughts and messages to the students in Parkland, Florida.
On February 21, 2018, Beekman student Kezia Deta was sworn in as an American citizen in Grand Rapids! Deta was born in Congo and spent time in a Uganda refugee camp before coming to America in 2010. Deta currently lives in a group home. She is a very cheerful and wonderful student, with a very positive outlook on life considering her history.
