Another thing in which these two festivities differ is the activities performed. In
Halloween, people get costumes to dress as their favorite character or anyone they like.
[Doctor, polices, zombies and more are seen. In addition, disguised children go to ask
for candies at different homes.] In contrast, during thanksgiving festivities families
gather and share food, drinks, games and words. They play table games and more.
Moreover, people announce what are they thanked for in the year. [They thank aloud the
things they have done and have achieved during the year.]
As a conclusion, these two American celebrations are different even when they
are from the same country. During the days these festivities are performed, the food and
the activities done are different. While in Halloween the food eaten is bought and made
of pumpkins, during thanksgiving the food is homemade and turkey. Not to mention
that each of these celebrations have their own origin and everyone enjoys holding them.
