• Represented Immigrant, the recently launched production company co-founded by Camila Jimenez and Silvana Aguirre who were behind “El Chapo” for Netflix and Univision, in a deal that involved Fremantle taking a 25% stake in the company.
• Represented 101 Studios, led by David Glasser, in the company’s multi-million dollar startup, structuring and financing arrangement with equity investors. We also concluded 101’s joint venture with Authentic Brands Group to form Sports Illustrated Studios.
• Represented Oberman, Tivoli & Pickert, Inc. (d/b/a Media Services) in the sale to Cast & Crew Payroll Company, one of Hollywood’s leading payroll and accounting firms. Media Services is also widely recognized as one of the largest providers of payroll and accounting services and software to the entertainment industry.
• Represented Spotter, Inc., a leading financial solution for independent content creators across digital platforms, in its Series A financing round.
• Represented G-Net Media, Inc. in connection with its sale to Keywords International Limited.
ADVERTISING, SPONSORSHIPS, BRANDED CONTENT AND LICENSING
• Represented Troy Aikman, the Pro and College Football Hall of Famer and Super Bowl XXVII MVP, in connection with a strategic partnership between Troy and Taos Mountain Energy Foods, LLC, a healthy snack company doing business as Taos Bakes. Troy will serve as spokesperson and creative consultant for the Taos Bakes brands and provide influencer-related services across his social media platforms.
• Represent Match Group and its subsidiaries, including Tinder and OKCupid, on various advertising and marketing campaigns, including related music rights and issues.
• Advised on Tinder’s promotional TikTok and social campaign around it’s verified feature incorporating A$AP Ferg’s song “Verified.”
• Worked with Spotify to close a marketing, promotion and distribution deal with J.K. Rowling’s company Wizarding World. As a result, Spotify is the exclusive audio partner for a series of unique celebrity-read Harry Potter recordings that will only be available for a limited period of time. Each week, a different celebrity will read a chapter in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”.
