SUPREME COURT CONFIRMATION HEARINGS
All Supreme Court nominees must face confirmation hearings. Such is
the case even when the nominee in question is an already seated
Justice of the United States Supreme Court. In those rare instances –
such as the case in this play – where a seated member of the court is
nominated to the Court’s highest seat – Chief Justice – he or she must
face new hearings. These hearings may include testimony given at the
original confirmation. They may also contain new, explosively damaging
testimony. Such is the fear of the characters in this play.
