meet people who didn't blink at spending $200 on dinner and who vacationed in exotic places. The more I learned about the Law of Attraction-our ability to draw to us all that we desire by creating a vibration of attraction-the more I began to create the emotions that I'd experience if I had all that I wanted. With great feeling, I recited affirmations about having wealth. In my heart, I truly believed what I was saying when I stated aloud: "I am rich beyond my wildest dreams."
Whenever I caught myself looking at some luxury item and thinking, That looks wonderful, and it's too bad I can't have it, I'd stop myself. I now recognized that like everyone else, I have a right to enjoy prosperity. I'd begin to imagine owning that item, created the feelings that would go along with being in possession of it, and trusted that the Universe would bring that item to me or bless me with riches in some other way.
The more positive my feelings were, the more inspired I was to put forth the effort to grow my abundance. I made money, invested well, began a successful business, and enjoyed watching it blossom. It took time and hard work to get where I am today, but I now enjoy a life that's rich in many ways. I have an overflow of love and affection, self-acceptance, enthusiasm, humor, and confidence. I also have more traditional manifestations of wealth: a nice, large, beautiful home with a pool; a luxury vehicle I truly enjoy driving; and investments that grow every day. The Universe always had these gifts available. It was my own negativity that was blocking it from giving them to me.
Do you doubt that the Universe wants to bestow the gift of great abundance on you? When you see a sign on a construction site that says COMING SOON! LuxuRY CONDOS STARTING AT $800,000! or you spot an expensive car in front of you on the highway, what feeling comes up for you? Is it one of lack, depression, or envy? If so, you're blocking yourself from attracting the wealth you desire.
Try this experiment: Test-drive a sports car, have a drink in the lobby of a luxury hotel, or try on an outrageously expensive outfit in a fancy boutique. As you do so, deliberately push aside any feelings of guilt or unworthiness. Create emotions of joy, enthusiasm, and gratitude. Isn't it wonderful that you can
