Employee Jason & Jonathan
Spotlight Honeycutt
As teenagers, brothers Jason and
Jonathan Honeycutt of Division 33 began
their careers side-by-side, wiring a fiber
optic plant. The duo comes from a long
line of electricians, going all the way back
to their great-grandfather. While Jonathan
has since transitioned over to the Project
Management side, Jason took a different
route, and worked his way up to become a
Site Superintendent.
Jason now supervises large, complex
data center work. When looking back on
his 25 years in the industry, Jason’s most
unforgettable project was in 1992, where
he was assigned to remove switchgear that,
to his surprise, their great grandfather had
installed 67 years prior.
Jonathan, now managing confidential projects with extremely aggressive schedules, still
remembers his days during the first years of working in the trade. Jonathan recalls his 16 year old
self, spray painting fire alarm boxes while also secretly marking older brother Jason until his entire
backside was red. After getting a good laugh in, he then, of course, “got in some trouble over that
one.” Both agree that following this family tradition together has led them to develop a strong bond,
both in and outside of work.
The brothers live in North Carolina
and spend their time outside of work
enjoying time with their families. When
he’s not playing with his two small
children, Jonathan enjoys traveling to
various spots such as Mexico, Canada,
Alaska and Yellowstone to fly fish.
Jason, with three children of his own
(two teenagers!) enjoys traveling
with his family. While he admits it’s
sometimes hard to find activities they
all enjoy, they recently took their first
trip to Disney and had a blast!
