• On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, how committed are you to your goal

                           and plan?

               Summary

Momentum is about getting started and keeping the motion in motion. When you have a
trying time or a challenge, think of Mary and her efforts to pull the car. Think of how she

changed her position several times, anything she could do to just get the first bit of motion. Then,

she knew what her end goal was, and she stayed the course to reach it. Momentum is a
combination of finding your inner strength, defining your purpose and passion, learning from

other women leaders and those who were against the odds, using your emotional intelligence,

thinking of your health and wellness, and setting your goals and creating your action plan.
Momentum involves putting all of this into action.

You may travel back and forth on the nine steps of momentum. That’s okay. Remember,
there are detours, even in a step-by-step process. The key takeaways are:

                       • Clarify your focus

                       • Create goals
                       • Action plan

                       • Get your motivation

                       • Put your plan into action
                       • Evaluate your progress

                       • Make detours

                       • Reevaluate your progress

                       • Gain momentum
