1. Start Movie Collector
2. Click: File > Import From > Text
3. Click Browse and locate your txt/csv file
4. Set the text qualifiers and delimiters to match your text file
5. *Check the preview** to ensure everything appears correctly

6. Once complete, click OK to import the list

* If you check the preview and nothing shows, at all, it means your Text or CSV file is
not saved with “UTF8” Encoding. Open it with your text editor and re-save it with
UTF8 encoding.

Updating your data

After importing you can retrieve more information from the Core for Movies Online Database. Here’s how:

1. Click Edit > Select All
2. Click Edit > Update Movie(s) Automatically
