Extendingtheabovediscusiontoamicro-gravityenvironment,wherethereisnobuoyancyorgravity, onlysurface目 tension-drivenconvectionmayocur.AsaBenardcel cannotbeafectedbybuoyancy,thesizeof thecelswilincreasegradualyuntiltheyarerestrictedbythelateralwal.lWilthisphenornenacauseCIGLto increaseordecrease?Wehavelitleinformationaboutthis.However,thisisaveryirnportantmatterforfire s.afetyinmicro-gravity.Theflashpointofasubstanceistheternperatureatwhichthevaporpresureinair,at equilibriumconditions,equalsthelowerflarnmablelirnitforthatsubstance.Thereforeinopen.cupcondition, suchasfuelinopentraysorspiledonflorsetc.,flashpointisdeterminedbyCIGL.IfCIGLinμgishigherthan thatin19,flashpointinμgbecorneslowerthatin19andviceversa.Thissugeststhattheregulationsforhandling liquidfuelsinnormalgravityhavetobechangedforamicro-gravityenvironment.
