We’ve all done it. We take a gander at something that seems so simple, yet is so effective and necessary, that we think “Why didn’t I think of that?!” I had that happen to me last year, and the year before that, and then again last week.
I was amazed at Dig Defense when that first hit the market. It’s such a simple design that has saved us countless hours and buckets of sweat. I applaud the guy that saw the need and had an
idea! I hope he becomes rich and retires from the furious cash influx! It’s a great idea and works well. If we’re not installing it, we’re using it to funnel animals into our cage traps.
Then I was in awe of Ridge Guard. It’s another simple thing that almost sells itself. I must admit to being just a bit jealous, as I probably could have invented this if I had enough time. The problem was, I was so busy tearing off ridge vents, screwing in hardware
cloth, and then installing new ridge vents, that I didn’t have any time to think of it. I was foiled again by hard work!
My latest introduction to an amazing product is a device called Kritter Cap®. Alan Huot of Wildlife Control Supplies had given me a free sample a while back. It’s here some place and I’ll stumble upon it the next time I am rummaging through my stuff looking for something else. It seemed like a novel idea, but at the time, I
