One Maoist cadre (Jairam) ACM rank of Hqrs team in 3rd CRC was killed in an IED explosion while planting IED on a foot track between BSF camp Ralegada and village Kurapadu.
08/01/2016, DISTRICT-KORAPUT, PS-BOIPARIGUDA, PLACE KALIAJORI
Extremists exploded an IED while BSF personnel (20) were returning from a search operation, resulting in death of SS panda (constable) besides injuries to Sunil Kumar (Deputy Commandant) in the incident. Later, Sunil Kumar succumbed to his injuries.
08/03/2015-DISTRICT-KALAHANDI, PS-GOLAMUNDA,PLACE-CHURA HILLS-DADLA JHARAN
An encounter took place between District Voluntary Force (DVF - 20) and extremists (8-10), resulting in the death of an extremists (Suraj, ACM Police recovered INSAS rifle (1), live ammunitions of INSAS and SLR rifle, medicines, kitbag, radio (2), Maoist literature and Maoist flag from the site of encounter.

Three encounters were reported by the Joint forces of State Police and CAPFs. In 2 encounters there are reports that 5-6 maoists of AOBSZC were injured while pithoos and hand grenades have been recovered by troops.
14/04/2014-DISTRICT-NUAPADA, PS-KOMNA, PLACE-SANBEHELI
An encounter took place between the police (SOG personnel) and extremists, resulting in death of one female extremist. SFs also recovered .303 rifle (1), pistol (1), live assorted ammunition (11 rounds), tiffin bombs (4), detonators, poster, leaflets and OG caps (2) from the site of encounter.
04/03/2014-DISTRICT-KORAPUT, PS-POTTANGI, PLACE-MUNUGULWALSA
An encounter took place between DVF Personnel and extremists (15-20), resulting in the death of two extremists (Malla Sanjeeva @ Yadanna @ Kalia; DCM/ACS Nandapur LOS and Narendra @ Manganna; DCM). Police recovered carbine (1), Stengun (1), Magazines (4) and hand grenade (1), from the site of encounter.
