THEMATIC APPERCEPTION TEST (TAT)

Madhushree karmakar, is a final year student of BCA background from
Odisha. She has been very enthusiastic about Cinematography and
Documentary
Making. Most of her
work centered on
social messages or
highlighting an
important cause. In
an nationwide inter

festival she
participated under
the Documentary
category. This time
she wanted to
portray the bonding
of mother and child, the timeframe when a child loses his mother at young
age, grows up to her mother’s dreams. She selected characters for different
roles from her college which included all age group. A shooting set was rented
out to highlight various scenes. In accordance to the theme of the
documentary, the young boy is a school standard kid and an obedient son of
his mother. The mother inspires him with tales of freedom fighters, leaders
from the history of the nation and influences the boy to be part of such kind
of fraternity. One fine day the young boy loser her mother. The scene of final
rites were designed with an element of emotion where the child is held by
others when he was mourning. The child then grew up working very hard and
followed all guidelines of his mother in respect of good behavior, helpful
character etc. The documentary won a special recognition in the competition
and a picturesque was also covered in the college newsletter.
