...Wyland has been green for over thirty years...
Since it was founded in 1993, the Wyland Foundation has brought environmental art activities, conservation exhibitions, and education events to millions of kids in all 50 states — from the lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C. to the United Nations headquarters in New York City to the wilderness in Alaska. In a world where we all live downstream from someone else, the Wyland Foundation provides the tools our communities need to become more creative, positive, and solution-oriented stewards of our environment. In the last two years alone, the Wyland Foundation has delivered art supplies to 10,000 students, generated 42,000 water conservation pledges, provided mobile instruction at schools in 17 states, and created cutting edge awareness campaigns reaching 40+ million people.
How We’re Making a Difference ...
The Wyland Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
* At the height of one of the nation’s worst droughts in years, the Wyland National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation in partnership with Toyota, the National League of Cities and the U.S. EPA reached residents in 3,900 cities and inspired U.S. residents to pledge to conserve more than 1.5 billion gallons of water.
* Our latest project, in partnership with Toyota and the Toro Company, a 20,000 square foot water efficient outdoor classroom and student garden for children in Texas, will teach thousands of students about conservation for years to come.
* The Wyland Clean Water Mobile Learning Experience, a 1,000 square foot science center dedicated to water conservation, continues to deliver a museum quality experience to schools and community groups around the country. To date, this acclaimed exhibit has served over 1 million children.
