The Cost of Stewardship by Kristi Sandberg
Humanity walks a fine line between acting as stewards of our earth and its creatures, and alternatively, either actively, or passively, facilitating their demise. There is no in-between. If we care about a cohesive future with ALL the lives on this planet, it’s not only important to elect leaders motivated to protect, but also to act each day of our lives with such intentions. I seek solace surrounded in the healing and sanity art brings. Here I painted “The Last Polar Bear.” These powerful beings’ habitat stands threatened by climate change. “The Last Polar Bear” is a story waiting to be told. A lone polar bear encounters mythical and extinct creatures...not realizing yet she is one of them. Protect each other and all that’s dear and vulnerable with all the love you have.
