The Basics
Essentially, the Interactive Whiteboard Tool has three layers of screens which enable you to filter down and find activities, targeted to your current teaching stage within the Hemispheres Think Write Handwriting Programme.
Layer 1: The Home Screen
Here you can select the module level that you are working within.
Layer 2: Teaching and Learning Screen
Here you can select the purpose of the intended activity that you wish to find. This choice can be simplified as follows:
i) Showing and Telling:
ii) Applying and Showing:
iii) Writing and Doing: Layer 3: Learning Activities Screen
Adult led activities for the formal teaching of the concepts within the Hemispheres Think Write Handwriting Programme.
Activities that combine both teaching and learning activities to offer children the opportunity to apply their learning and enhance their cognitive processing skills around handwriting..
Pupil led activities to enhance their learning of the Hemispheres Think Write Handwriting Programme concepts.
Here you chose the specific activities given your preceding filtered selections. Within some modules you will find that you are given a choice of activities within their animal family groups.
Explaining the Navigation Tools
To navigate within the Interactive Whiteboard Tool tool you use the following buttons:
The Gate – Press this to either return Home Screen or in some instances the preceding subsection screen.
The yellow arrow – Press this to move backward within the activity. The blue arrow – Press this to move forward within the activity.
The Information button – Press this to reveal the printable PDF’s for each module of learning
