 Objective: Introducing Harriet the Cow
   Lesson Plan:
With all the children sitting on the carpet in front of the teacher 1. Hold up a picture of Harriet the Cow.
2. “I would like to introduce you to a friend of mine.” 3. “Can anyone tell me what she is?”
4. Allow the children to answer “It's a cow.”
5. “Yes, that is right, her name is Harriet. What do you know about cows?” 6. Allow the children to answer “They say moo, they live on a farm, they give
milk.”
7. Ask the children “Is a cow a big animal on the farm?”
8. Allow the children to answer “yes.”
9. “Look Harriet the Cow is standing up. “What is she standing on?”
10. Allow the children to answer “on grass, in the field.”
11. “So would you say Harriet the Cow is a tall animal who stands on grass?” 12. Allow the children to answer “yes.”.
13. Finish by reinforcing that Harriet the Cow is a tall animal who stands
on grass in the field.
14. “Brilliant, well done everyone.”

Encourage children to look in books to reinforce their learning.
