Sustainability is a rising trend in the beauty industry that is likely to become a required standard in the near future. Caire should position their brand at the forefront of this industry transition.
Caire is currently minimizing their plastic consumption by sourcing glass bottles and jars for their serum and face mask. Caire expressed an interest in looking into new suppliers that could provide sustainable packaging. The suppliers listed below were able to provide glass containers, however most cap options were plastic. A metal cap option for the face mask is included in the pricing analysis. Additionally, a variety of plastic droppers were explored for each retailer. For suppliers that were not able to supply a silver option a black option was used as an alternative. Caire could consider switching to black dropper caps as they have a grip function which will make usability easier for older consumers. The following table shows outlined pricing for three package suppliers and three shipping materials suppliers:
