Together We Cope Volunteer Outing
On the afternoon of October 16, a group of
GCU volunteers met at Together We Cope.
The prevention agency has been bridging
the gap for south suburban Illinois residents
in 27 communities since 1982. They supply
food, shelter, clothing, referrals and empower Constellation Coordinator Karly Krown presents a GCU check to the representa-
residents to return to self-sufficiently. The group tives of Together We Cope prevention agency.
met a lot of wonderful people there
as they stocked & organized shelves
and prepared & bagged produce to be
distributed to the community. They were
very grateful for the $500. donation that
00
we were able to provide for them from
the GCU. Afterwards we met down the
street for dinner, feeling grateful for the
opportunity we had to make a positive
impact in the lives of others.
Sister Act Play
On the evening of November 15 ,
th
20 of us met at Drury Lane theatre
to see the play “The Sister Act.” It
was a wonderful show as we all
laughed and danced in our seats to
the uplifting music. Several of our
members who attended commented
on how it brought them back to their
school days when they were taught
by the “sisters.” A lot of great stories
were shared and a great time was
had by all! Thanks to the GCU for
making this all possible.
