Lunch For Volunteers
On March 30 & 31, 2025, lunch was provided for Ascension Byzantine
volunteers at the baking project that benefited St. John
parish. Everyone enjoyed subs and pizza from Wegmans. Catholic Church
The gathering was sponsored by the GCU Parish Social clAirton, PA
Grant program.
Easter Egg Hunt and Welcome

An Easter Egg hunt was held at Ascension Church
on Palm Sunday. The Easter Bunny hid eggs in the
courtyard on a beautiful sunny day and assisted
children as they collected the surprises. After the hunt,
a luncheon to welcome Father Christopher Burke was
held. Everyone had an opportunity to meet and socialize
with Fr. Chris and enjoy a delicious buffet luncheon.

St. Gregory Byzantine Catholic Church

Lenten Social
During Lent, the Library Ministry of St. Gregory Church once again sponsored the
“LLLL” program: “Lent, Liturgy, Lunch, Library.” Since
2020, on Fridays following the 11 am Presanctified
Liturgy, parishioners were invited to enjoy fellowship
and lunch provided by the Library Ministry in the
church hall. Afterward attendees are given time to
browse the shelves of books in the parish library.
On the last Friday of Lent, April 11, GCU Parish Social
Grant funds were used to order a delicious lunch
from the catering menu of Vocelli Pizza. The Library
Ministry appreciates the support of our spiritual lives
and fellowship socials by the GCU!
