CRANING/PUTTING BOAT ONTO THE WATER.
Lifting slings inspected, secured to lifting eye.
Straps on stabilising frame utilising a winch hook securely.
Rope (painter) over side.
Drain Plug in.
Engine jacked out.
Fuel.
Key in ignition.
Battery Checked OK.
Lift – one banks man only.
Be aware of trees/obstructions when the boat is being lifted by a crane.
Keep clear of the prop.
Stand away - never under boat.
Stow dolly away from craning area; beware running down slope/slipway unattended.
Secure boat fore and aft mindful of potential damage from pontoons/seawall etc.

Lifting slings applied and secured.
Straps on stabilising frame utilising a winch hook securely.
Rope (painter) over side.
Drain Plug removed on the way out at pontoon or when on dolly.
Lift – one banksman.
Be aware of trees/obstructions when the boat is being lifted by a crane.
Keep clear of the prop.
Stand away never under boat.
Dolly under – steering wheels at front end of boat - beware boat/dolly running down
slope/slipway.
Boat and all kit to be washed and hosed with fresh water when possible on recovery – at least
before packing up container.
Soap and water wash of all surfaces preferred at final wash – including dirty lines (scum) on
hull.
Engine washed-out by water knowledgeable person only.
BOAT READY FOR RESCUE DUTY.
Lifting slings stowed.
Lose ropes stowed.
Medical kit.
Orange peli-box.
Yellow peli-box.
Longboard.
2x cervical collars (in lid of boat box).
Oxygen – carried whenever available at venues.
Fire extinguisher supplied by organiser at event.
Tow-rope.
Tie-up rope (painter).
Lights.
Lifejackets.
Radio headset/radio.
Stabilising frame utilising a winch hook/winch operating.
Lights working.
