 Habitat For Humanity
of Greater Lowell, Inc.
Awarded $10,000 for the Critical Home Repairs (CHR) for Westford Elders program. The CHR program works with low income families including the elderly, veterans and disabled who have critical home repair and maintenance issues that present a health or safety risk, or limit the access to, within the home.
Montachusett Home
Care Corporation
Awarded $5,000 to expand the Medical Escort/Companion Program, as one support program offered by Montachusett Home Care, this will program will provide transportation to medical appointments for clients as well as serving as a companion to those with little or no social supports.
North Star Family Service
Awarded $8,000 to aid their Shelter Support Programming. North Star provides immediate shelter, hot meals, clothing, intensive case management, mental health services, and educational training to local families and individuals in crisis.
Our Father’s House
Awarded $16,000 to support the Ensuring Health Wellness in Homeless Children Program. The program consists of ACTION Health services providing a nurse to visit the Fitchburg shelter monthly to provide quality health care to children and mothers. The program ensures that children have up
to date physicals and immunizations, and directly improves the health and welfare of vulnerable shelter children.

Offered jointly through the Greater Lowell Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts, the Nashoba Valley Healthcare Fund’s purpose is to advance the community health of residents in thirteen (13) communities: Ashby, Ayer, Bolton, Dunstable, Groton, Harvard, Lancaster, Littleton, Lunenburg, Pepperell, Shirley, Townsend, and Westford.
The Nashoba Valley Health Care Fund specifically targets areas in the following; Prevention of health problems, Access to healthcare, Elder health, Youth and adolescent health, Mental health, and Health care service provisions.

Pepperell Council on Aging
Awarded $2,130 to purchase stationary bikes for the new program, Cycles for Seniors, aimed to help inactive participants become more active by giving them a healthy safe way to move.
Seven Hills Family Services
Awarded $6,663 to purchase a whisper glide swing for its group residential home located in Groton, MA, supporting five adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities – all of whom are non-ambulatory.
Townsend Fire-EMS Department
Awarded $14,993 to purchase one adult and one child full-body manikins designed for the practice of advanced, difficult and obstructed airway scenarios and IV therapy for their Advanced Life Support Training program.
Virginia Thurston Healing Garden
Awarded $20,000 to help provide Nashoba Valley residents access to life enhancing, critical cancer support, for patients, their caregivers and their families. The programs and services are integrated with the medical care for the disease and can include: counseling; support groups; exercise and movement programs, therapy, financial planning, and many other helpful programs.
