Ana-Maria LaPointe, Concertmaster
WHAT IS A CONCERTMASTER? SEE PAGE 32!
“Playing the Phil’s concert for
all ages gives me great joy each
season. The music selections
are meant to be easy and
accessible to a young audience,
with famous excerpts from
various composers. Before the
concert, having the orchestra
musicians demonstrate our
instruments is a great way to
interact with young audience
members. It’s a hands-on
opportunity to experience the
instruments and, hopefully,
inspire them to play. The young
audience is not only a possible
new audience for future
concerts but also for continuing
to make great music by joining
the orchestra in the future. I
am very excited and looking
forward to the March concert”.
