This year marks our 28th annual toy drive for the Children’s
Holiday Fund. The toy drive is an important hallmark of our
Holiday Pops, extending our reach into the community in a
meaningful way. All three Holiday Pops concerts feature a
March of the Toys parade, providing a fun way for children
to participate in the spirit of giving. While the orchestra
plays, children of all ages follow Santa on a parade around
the hall with unwrapped, new gifts to be deposited in the
Phil toybox for families who may need a little help this
        season.
The Children’s Holiday Fund is a remarkable program of
the Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless, providing
toys, gifts, winter clothing, and holiday meal baskets
to deserving children in our South Shore communities.
Through the generous donations of the community, the
Fund provides gifts to over 300 children for the holiday
        season.
The continued community support, whether through
private donations, business sponsorships, or events such
as the Phil’s March of the Toys parade, all goes toward
a goal that is easy to sum up, says Coalition Executive
        Director Sue Giovanetti.
“It’s all about giving joy to the kids and parents,” she said.
“Everyone deserves to share in that.”
Application and donor forms are available at
plymouthareacoalition.org. The coalition can be reached at
