                                                      KG 1 Weekly News
                                                     14 th  -18 th  April 2019

                    Our little stars of KG 1 are eventually moving to formal learning.


        As a part of developing pre writing skills, children were introduced to different strokes and
        patterns and most of the children made a good attempt in tracing the patterns using crayons.


        We are continuously reading out stories as a part of developing language & vocabulary

        Children enjoyed various hands on activities to reinforce the colors learnt

        We observed Personal Hygiene week. Little ones were made aware of the importance of personal

        hygiene through roleplays & various activities. Children learnt to how to use a table napkin and to
        fold a napkin.


        We will be starting our phonic lessons from the current week onwards. Teachers will be giving
        guidelines for the parents through mail. Parents kindly follow the instructions given by the
        teachers.


        We will be celebrating the Science Week from 22            nd  -28 th

        The theme is based on the ‘5 Elements of Earth’ in line with our topic ‘Body parts & Five

        senses

        KG 2 children will be investigating & exploring sand, rock, water, wind, sky etc. in line with the
        topic 5 senses.


        KG 1 Children will be exploring different textures, Different types of sounds in the environment, Smell of
        different Fruits, Coffee, Tea etc.in line with the topic body parts and its functions.

        Parental Tip: As it’s inconvenient to conduct experiments using fire in school, we request the

        parents to demonstrate few experiments at home e.g. Melting of ice, chocolate, butter etc. over
        heat & how it returns to the original state under cool temperature
