LITERACY (Speaking ,Listening ,Understanding,Reading)
Revision of phonic sounds (Jolly phonics ).
Introduction of uppercase letters ‘Q,R,S,T,U,V,W and X’ through PPT,
real objects, ICT and Jolly phonics song and action.
Introduction of CVC words with ‘a’ in the middle.
Writing:Segmenting & blending CVC words with ‘a’ in the middle. (cat, bag,
man, dad,hat, jam etc).
Reading: ORT books (Oxford Reading Tree books level 2)
Reading:Beginning to read simple sentences with three letter words and
sight words.
Parental Tip: Practice segmenting and blending three letter words
phonetically. Revision of sight words & high frequency words. Encourage
your ward to practice the allocated activities in ‘educationcity’
and read books from ‘kids a-z’ with your guidance.
NUMERACY (Numbers & Measurement)
Revision of numbers 0-20 in a sequence using flash cards and PPT.
Introduction of missing numbers 0-20.
Revision of number names 1-5 using PPT, song, action and counting objects.
Counting and sequencing numbers 0 to 20.
Introduction of reverse numbers 20-0 with correct formation using
tracing strips and flash cards.
