GRADE 1

Primary students of GIHS took delight from the
Thursday Activity conducted on 17 October 2019.

They benefitted from the activity as it was to enhance
their speaking skill, and they proved themselves as
effective speakers who can gain attention of the

audience and hold it till the completion of their message.

Follow up activities were conducted in the classes as the
part of ‘Enhancement of Speaking Skills’.

GRADE 1 - Pick and talk

Speaking is one of the four macro skills to be developed
as a means of effective communication in both first and
second language learning context. As part of the speaking

skill enhancement activity, Grade 1 students of GIHS got
a chance to share their views and ideas by presenting
their confidence and creativity.

In this activity, students picked a chit from the bowl and
spoke on different interesting topics given by the

teachers. Children came up with different ideas and
expressed their notions about the topic. The activity
enhanced their speaking and thinking skills and it helped
to develop confidence in them. It was evident from their

face that the activity was profoundly thought provoking,
informative and they enjoyed it profoundly.
