REPORT ON SUNDAY ACTIVITY2019-20
AUTISM AWARENESS ACTIVITY
GRADE III (E-F)
AFTERNOON SESSION
New session at the Gulf Indian High School started with the Activity regarding Autism
Day. World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day on 2 April every
year, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise
awareness about people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) throughout the world.
‘Message: On this World Autism Awareness Day, let us all play a part in changing
attitudes toward persons with autism and in recognizing their rights as citizens, who, like
everyone else, are entitled to claim those rights and make decisions for their lives in
accordance with their own will and preferences. Let us also renew our promise, engraved
in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, to leave no one behind and ensure that
all people can contribute as active members to peaceful and prosperous societies. Students
describes Autism is a neurological disorder (a "brain" disease) characterized by the
presence of severe communication, language and social deficits in affected persons. It is the
most well known of several pervasive developmental disorder (PDD) diagnoses which begin
in early childhood and continue throughout life, affecting most every aspect of life.
Our students also participated in world Autism Day through an activity in classroom on
4-4-19 Thursday.
