Darkness and Night
When the lights go off
The shops shut down
the street light crash
and the night is rash.
Dark clouds in sky
thunder with boom
as the valley shooks down
My Pride, My
causes a wound.
Country-India
the bats are screeching
and the owls are hooting
the river is in reach This is the day we can salute them,
as it comes down from the cave. To us they are like a precious gem.
Standing for us like a wall ,
As the night comes And never let our nation fall.
the moon shines in the sky like the sun
but the darkness come The fighters were the heroes of the past,
as a cloud rumble with grum. The tricolours unfurled at its mast.
At the midnight stroke,
The tides and the waves are on their way The rule of the britishers broke.
the spirits wondering on the bay.
As the darkness still has a way.. For freedom every event becomes a story
The fighters did not do it for their glory.
Karamveer Singh, VII-C They did it for making us free,
And today we are enjoying the spree.
Today our flag stands up high,
Swaying in pride in the sky.
For our nations justice and liberty,
The freedom fighters were trust worthy.
Freedom has a high cost,
Lives given were the ultimate loss.
That cost they willingly give,
So that freedom can continue to live.
Remember those who served before,
Remember those who are nomore.
Remember those who serve today,
Remember them on independence day.
Atharv Vats, VII-C
