alison.ferris@dwn.org.nz
Originally from the UK, Alison has been in New
Zealand for 15 years and officially became a New
Zealand citizen in 2019. She lives near Te Kuiti
with an array of animals and her family, who she
enjoys exploring the beautiful King Country with.

Rachel Usmar
Waikato Hub Leader
rachel.usmar@dwn.org.nz
Hi, I’m Rachel.
My husband and I have a calf rearing operation
near Lake Karapiro where we raise autumn and
spring calves. I love seeing young animals do well growing and
meeting targets. Another strong interest of mine is mating, and I
have been an AB tech for 6 years and absolutely love it.
Kielee Mathis
Bay of Plenty & Central Plateau Hub
Leader
kielee.mathis@dwn.org.nz
Hi, I’m Kielee, my husband Gerald and I dairy
farm in Galatea. We have been dairy farming
together for over 20 years. My main role on the
farm is calf rearing, finances and general odd
jobs. I love exploring our backyard in NZ, working out, being healthy
and hanging out with family and friends. I became a Hub Leader
as I felt I could add some value to the role and felt at home with the
likeminded ladies around me.
