If you’re asked what DWN is about, or what your role is
in the Network, here are some bullet points to help you
answer.

WHO IS DAIRY WOMEN’S NETWORK
AND WHAT DO WE DO?
• Dairy Women’s Network is an organisation of impact
that supports people throughout the dairy sector,
empowering them in the business of dairying
whether they are doing the accounts or running the
farm.

• The role of DWN within the sector is to connect,
inspire and educate members about relevant topics
in an ever-changing industry.

• We offer workshops and learning opportunities to
help people in dairy to progress themselves and their
farm businesses. These workshops cover a range of
topics from lameness and calf rearing to contracts,
payroll and supporting your team.
• At a regional level we offer social catch ups, giving
men and women a chance to get off the farm and
engage with other like-minded people. Events
are inclusive and we welcome farmers from other
parts of the primary sector, as well as industry
representatives.
• We give women amazing opportunities to be present
at industry tables and acknowledge outstanding
women in the industry through our Fonterra Dairy
Woman of the Year, Regional Leader of the Year and
Regional Team of the Year awards.
