About Us
1
WHAT REGIONAL LEADERS DO?
• Embark on their own leadership journey through
guiding, and acting as a point of connection for, local
farming communities.
• Work within a team of farmers and rural professionals
to connect with commercial and sector partners, and
bring relevant events and knowledge to their regions.
• Help to plan and deliver a mixture of formal
workshops and social events aimed to inspire and
educate.
• Bounce ideas off one another, share on-farm
problems and find solutions, develop skills and
empower ourselves and each other in our sector
roles.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BEING A
REGIONAL LEADER?
• You’ll learn from other Regional Leaders who have
different skills and expertise.
• You’ll feel empowered by providing other women
with opportunities for learning and connection, and
seeing the impact these have on those who attend.
• It’s an opportunity to connect with a like-minded
group of farming women, especially if you have
moved from another part of New Zealand or
immigrated from another country.
