Owner’s Project Manager Design Coordination Construction Management Furniture Management Move Coordination Dowling Houy was engaged by A123 Systems to to relocate their Watertown based company to their new headquarters in Waltham MA Originally located in in in in three separate buildings this move has put A123 in in in in one contiguous space DH provided total relocation services and was required to to to attend all all construction meetings as as the move of all all laboratories and development spaces occurred during the the construction construction process DH updated the the entire construction construction team on on on on on on a a a a a a daily/weekly basis
on on on on exactly which pieces of equipment were being brought in in in in in and the the the the the the the path that would be be needed to to get them in in in in in to to the the the the the the the building Over the the the the the the the course of of of the the the the the the the project there were seven separate rigging events five moves moves of of o other equipment two chemi- cal moves and one comprehensive office move move Dowling Houy created and and and and maintained the detailed lab equipment furniture and and and and move move data bas- es es es es ran all all weekly weekly move move move meetings for Labs and and and and Offices and and and and issued meeting meeting minutes DH also main- tained a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a weekly weekly schedule schedule of of o all all move move related related activities including a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a detailed calendar on when each piece of of o lab related related equipment was scheduled to to be taken off line and and and then relocated DH created the the the the the Packing and and and Tagging instructions and and and the the the the the Welcome Package used in in in in in the the the the the move to to to orient em- ployees to the the new headquarters Project Dowling Houy LLC
