Dowling Houy was selected as as the overall project manager for this high end renovation project on on the 52nd and 51st floors of the Hancock Tower The main purpose of the the project was the the expansion to the the the 51st floor however the the the main focus of the the the project was the addition of a a a a a very high end stair (pictured above) connecting the the two floors A 22 22 x 22 22 foot square of the the 52nd floor deck was removed to create an opening that would create maximum views between the floors insuring that the the occupants of the the 51st floor did not feel isolated
from the the the rest of the the the firm The existing café was was expanded and and the the the trading desk was was relocated to make way for the the new stair Adage had previously engaged Gensler as the the project architect and R D Kimball for MEP-FP engineering engineering DH
worked closely with the the design and engineering engineering team contributing to the the overall design and value engineering process ensuring that the the team focused on the the client’s desired build to cost DH
initiated and and managed the the RFP process for the the engagement of General Contracting Services and and was their primary contact throughout the the the project project DH
created and maintained the the the master project project schedule and and budget for the the duration of the the project project attended and/or led all project project meetings supported IT planning floor plan plan development and approvals DH
was a a a a a a a a partner with the the the architect in the the the furniture acquisition process and arranged for tours of other firms to evaluate current trends in in in conferencing spaces DH
developed and coordinated all schedules for furniture deliveries and installations Working with Adage’s operations staff DH
